Well I'm taking the plunge this weekend. I've booked a hotel for Friday and Saturday night and I'm going out in an unfamiliar area, for the most part - alone. My aim is to try and give out at least some of my disastrously un-fulfilled quota of personal cards. I will be on the hunt!
I don't imagine I will be able to lure anyone back to my hotel, and I'm not sure if I want to go that far, it seems a bit cheap. But I'd like to test the reactions I get, and "practise" my girl-hunting skills in a situation where I have a low possibility of running into any "straight" friends. The whole thing both scares and excites me. My ultimate outcome would be some girl-pashing. That would be rather lovely.
My task has been useful as I've had to think of ways to approach and break the ice with a potential girl. I don't know that either of my first two ideas would work so well in a real world setting. I'll probably just go the traditional way of complimenting them on something they're wearing (which is today's idea.)
